A few words about COLOR BLOCK:

This animatic is part of my final year projects at AKTO Art & Design College.
I wanted the entire film to resemble a child's drawing, to emphasize the overall theme of childhood.
The main idea I wanted to portray through my story is how society often imposes certain standards regarding appearance/ behaviour/ way of life etc and attacks anyone that is different.
As such, the grown ups in "Color Block" are colorless, featureless, have lost every element of a personal identity and act as an unidentifiable mass.
On the other hand, the heroine, who still holds onto the innocence and dreams of a child, is more expressive and wears bold red colors.
The grown ups try to assimilate her and make her the same as them, but she discovers the paintbrush, which she uses as an instrument to regain her identity and spread change around her.
